Content theft from Streaming Internet Radio toolbar

Theft is a very strong word and I don't use it lightly, but I feel as though I have to warn my toolbar users about a blog that is attempting to masquerade as my own, by stealing my content.

You may remember my old blog at:
http://streaminginternetradiotoolbar.blogspot.com/

The blog I am referring to is very similar in name and can be seen at:
http://streamingtoolbar.blogspot.com/

The individual concerned with this plagiarism is called Alan (image ). He is a 25 year old from Italy.

He has also created a wordpress blog, again similar in name to mine:
My blog url: http://streamingradio.wordpress.com
His blog url: http://streaminginternet.wordpress.com

Alan created his own toolbar a while ago, and asked me for advice. I offered him advice at the time, only to find that he was duplicating content on my toolbar to his own. He was also duplicating my blog entries.

Alan has stated that it was a coincidence that his blog had a similar sounding name to mine, and a conincidence that his toolbar logo was similar. That maybe so - but, I'll let you draw your own conclusion from his comment - his own toolbar is actually called sonicforum - so how he can claim it was a coincidence is beyond me.

Anyway, on the 1st of July, I informed Firefox users that there was a compatibility problem, Alan copied the entire content of my blog entry and used it in his own (translated). My blogspot entry can be seen here . Alans blog entry can be seen here - feel free to translate his entry with your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar.

This isn't the first time that he has done this. For example, my toolbar logo used to look like this:
My old logo

Alans logo, which he describes as a coincidence, looks like this:
Alans logo

I can only assume, with his similar sounding blog title, logo and my content, that he is attempting to confuse and redirect my toolbar users. I have been in touch with Alan, and told him to stop copying my content. If he continues, I may be forced to take legal action against him.

If you still use my blogspot account for toolbar updates, or do a search for my old blog via the web, please add the URL of my new blog to your Favourites so that you can be assured of receiving information from the horses mouth, so to speak.
